2015 volunteer applications are now closed.
MIFF relies on the support and engagement of our dedicated volunteers. Our volunteers become the face of the festival, with an ever-growing team of over 350. Volunteers assist with queue management, ticket scanning, cinema ushering and general enquiries from patrons and general public. They have a passion for film, work well with others, are customer serviced focused and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
Volunteers get a unique insight to the film and events industry by being amongst the action. The skills and practical experience they gain allow them to further their development in their chosen career paths. Our volunteers feel challenged, inspired, confident and valued during their time with the festival.
Volunteers must attend a compulsory briefing session on Saturday 25 July, and be available for a minimum of seven shifts, of four-five hours maximum duration, throughout the Festival 30 July-16 August 2015.
Successful applicants to our volunteers program are also privy to some amazing perks and discounts, including free tickets to films!
