Unauthorised recording and/or distribution of material recorded at any festival event or session constitutes a breach of copyright and is strictly prohibited. Any person caught attempting to make a recording will be removed from the session and the material will be destroyed or deleted. Such persons may also be subject to legal action.
Classification of Films
The Classification Board has granted MIFF special customs and censorship clearances. Except where indicated, anyone under 18 (including infants) is forbidden from attending sessions.
MIFF Schools and MIFF Kids’ Gala
All films featured as part of the MIFF Schools program, and Kids’ Gala are approved for screening by the Classification Board. No person under the age of 15 years will be admitted to MIFF Schools and MIFF Kids screenings unless in the company of an adult guardian.
A valid barcoded pass (displayed via the MIFF iPhone, iPad, Android apps or on a paper ticket) must be presented for entry to all sessions. Patrons making use of the priority membership queue must also present a valid MIFF Membership card. Concession ticket holders must carry proof of concession.
Latecomers may only be admitted at the discretion of the usher. Ushers enforce MIFF policy – please respect their directions.
