AACHI & SSIPAK

Korea, 2006 (MIFF 2007, Animation Gallery)

Director: Bum Jin Joe

AACHI & SSIPAK

The world's second film about a futuristic society powered by human faeces. Consider a place where the currency is excrement. The government is anxious to control their sole source of energy that special sensors are attached to the citizens' anuses to monitor output. Those rewarded for productivity get paid with an hallucinogenic treat that further stimulates their bowel movements. Vulgarity, action and fun reigns supreme in this boundary-pushing film that, in the nicest possible way, could be considered a pile of s**t. Strap yourself in and get ready for plenty of poo jokes, pop-cultural references and rampant swearing. Shamelessly unapologetic. “A top tier technical achievement in 2-D animation.” - Variety Contains scenes that may offend
