A Scary Tale

USA, 1960 (MIFF 1960, Programme 11)

Director: Shirley Clarke, Robert Hughes

The film depicts the activities of a group of U.S. children on Hallowe'en. The traditional 'trick or treat' activities are directed towards raising funds for UNICEF. Throughout the film scenes of needy children around the world are superimposed on scenes of garishly dressed-up U.S. children.
