Borgo A Mozzano

Italy, 1958 (MIFF 1960, Programme 19)

Director: Michele Gandin

Beautifully photographed, this is an account of an experiment in agricultural improvement in Borgo a Mozzano, a community of sixteen hamlets in Tuscany, Italy.

By supplying modern services and techniques an attempt was made to revitalise the community, but peasants are conservative and it took time to win them over and make the experiment a success.
