Life is Beautiful

Poland, 1958 (MIFF 1959, Programme 6)

Director: Tadeusz Makarczynski

The title is ironic, for the film conveys a philosophical impression of man's protest against the dangers which surround him &ndash: particularly the danger of atomic extinction.

There is no commentary &ndash: only music and pictures woven together to produce the emotional effect.
