THE CREATION OF THE WORLD

Czechoslovakia, 1958 (MIFF 1959, Programme 11)

Director: Edvard Hofman

Based on the drawings of the famous French cartoonist. Jean Effel, the film tells the story of the first part of Genesis amusingly and with invention. Effel's gallic wit is carefully preserved and further enhanced by the versatile musical background.
