GREECE WITHOUT RUINS

Greece, 1965 (MIFF 1966, Programme 31)

Director: Angelos Lambrou

Near the ruins of classical Greece, live the people of Greece of this age, who are creating new traditions and a life characteristically their own. This is the subject of Angelos Lambrou's film. The producer's love of his country is manifest throughout; Rose Macaulay's script is brought to life splendidly with the aid of the excellent photography, and a brilliant musical score.
