Director Harry Rasky's script is based on Chagall's autobiography and poetry, and the film includes an interview with the artist himself . Over 1000 of Chagall's paintings murals stained glass windows and tapestries are shown, expressing his wonderstruck response to the magic of light and life, his visions and his dreams.
