Imagine

Poland, 1987 (MIFF 1988, International Video)

Director: Zbigniew Rybczynski

Using John Lennon's song 'Imagine', Zbig Rybczynsla has created a magical and poetic comment on human life. People move from room to room, maturing with time as they pass through doorways. Imagine was shot and edited live, using one room and one HDTV camera. The room was multiplied over and over again, there was no post-production. The work was created on the new High Definition Video System and then transferred to 35mm film.
