Down and Out

UK, 1978 (MIFF 1994, Animation Focus - Totally Aardman)

Director: Peter Lord, David Sproxton

A homeless man struggles to cut through obstructive bureaucracy just to get a meal at a Salvation Army hostel.

With the very first Aardman series Animated Conversations (from which this derives) the Aardman style is established. Down And Out won the MFF award for Best Animated Short when it screened here in 1981.
