The Big Story

UK, 1994 (MIFF 1995, Animation)

Director: Tim Watts, David Stoten

A black-and-white model animation involving three Kirk Douglases! A scenario of old movie archetypes and cliches is set Douglas as the tough newspaper editor, the brash young reporter and old hack-each caricatured figure
given dialogue lines Douglas has possibly used in various movie roles. "Big stories in a big town
and what do you get?...I'm sitting on the side lines watching the big boys score home runs!" And there is the final dialogue line as an hilarious end-joke- not to be missed!
