50% Absolut

Switzerland, 1995 (MIFF 1996, Fiction)

Director: Igor Bauersima

50% Absolut is the story of a couple walking home from a night at a pub. She is scared of heights and wants to be accompanied over the high bridge. He is in love with her and wants everything, and he wants it now. This smart black comedy manages to be a farce about fear and desire as well as a cautionary tale about "playing the victim". 50% Absolut is absolutely 100% on the mark, (SC)
