Prost takes on a curiously ghoulish quality Its footage degenerates becomes solarised and is reorganised within a constructivist-like montage into a rapidly-paced hallucinatory. Murnau inflected investigation of the underlying imagery of advertising In the process it presents an unsettling visual portrait of a national imagery short-changed by its own cliches. (AD)
