Best Shorts of the Fest

MIFF presents a programme of the best short films of the Festival.

In 2003, the winner of the MIFF City of Melbourne Grand Prix, the Salvador Dali/Walt Disney collaboration, Destino, went on to be nominated for an Academy Award, while the Film Victoria Erwin Rado Best Australian Short Film winner and Opening Night short film, Harvie Krumpet, went on to be the winner of the coveted Oscar. In this session, we announce the winners of this year's competition and screen a selection of the best films of the Fest.

All patrons are then invited to join us for the post-awards party at the Stella Artois Festival Club.
