“The most significant Brit chiller since 28 Days Later. 5 stars.” - Empire, UK.

Pitched by its director as “Deliverance goes underground”, The Descent is the much-anticipated second feature from Neil Marshall who was attributed with sparking a resurgence in British horror with his exciting debut Dog Soldiers. It takes us on a chilling and thrilling spelunking adventure with a team of adrenaline-seeking women. Upon being trapped deep within an otherworldly cave, they face not only their own fears but a colony of flesh-eating sub-humans.

Starring Aussie Natalie Mendoza as the most gung-ho of the ensemble cast, the claustrophobia of The Descent will get you even before the screams begin and the bones start snapping. Marshall tests his own directing chops by setting the majority of the action in the dark by hard-hat spotlighting so it's a must-see on the big screen to appreciate the horror in all its gloomy glory.
