Vilgot Sjöman's reputation still rests mostly on his two films which outrageously mixed sex and politics, / am Curious (Blue) and / am Curious (Yellow). He has, however, made 13 films in all and many of them have been finely directed and thematically strong dramas. His latest film, Linus, has been called his best film by Gene Moskowitz in "Variety". Its focus is on Linus, a sixteen-year-old boy who witnesses a murder in a mysterious red brick house. Linus' life is not the same after this event. The house leads to his first interludes with love and his gradual corruption.

"... a tale of exorcism enforced by brooding visuals, fine acting and absorbing flights of fancy in the boy's emotional, spiritual and human progress through this house ... An unusual, absorbing film on the theme of achieving maturity."
