Australian Women Composers

A documentary about the many struggles and scant triumphs of Australian
women composers. The story begins at
the turn of the century, when women
wanted equal opportunities and recognition in the field of music, and analyses some of the problems they faced. The film presents portraits of Australian women composers, including Margaret Sutherland, Helen Gifford,
and the most Successful of them all, Anne Boyd.
