Big Brother, Little Sister

Two little Maori kids, Hema and Janey, are running away from their inner-city home to the country, where they plan to live with Nana George.

The film is a series of flashbacks, which tell the story of their mother's separation from the father, their poverty, and the situation which finally gives rise to their running away.
