The "3000 Scenarios Against a Virus" series is a belated, but effective French response to the HIV epidemic. Taking its title from the number of story ideas submitted by French teenagers, 30 short scripts were developed and farmed out to a range directors, mostly young. The completed films have since screened widely in mainstream French cinemas, on TV and through special school screenings with not a grim reaper in sight. In La Pfarmacie a classic teenage nightmare is played out with acute timing. PS: Name the American remake!
