Night Ride

A young man takes the night bus home and finds himself in mortal conflict with a crazed, masked murder. (As you do,) Sounds a bit naff? Don't be fooled. There are moments in this superbly crafted mini-thriller which chill the blood. Murphy's inspired manipulation of film language, and excellent performances create a level of suspense rarely achieved in a film of this length. Although let down a little by a 'try hard' sting in the tail, this is one of the APTRS's finest offerings for 1996.
