A splendid account of the life of Warhol starlet Brigid Berlin, daughter to the Hearst Corporation empire. Expected to follow in her parents footsteps and lead a perfect life, Brigid rebelled continually, eloped with a gay window dresser and spent her inheritance in one summer. Her association with Warhol and blatant use of amphetamines was the last straw. The film features Berlin's appearances in such infamous Warhol films as Bike Boys, Imitation of Christ, and the underground classic Chelsea Girls, in which she gained her cult following, playing a lesbian pill pusher named The Duchess' and plunging an amphetamine filled syringe through the seat of her jeans.
Brigid has spent the past 35 years obsessively making her art, making tit prints', taping every phone call and filling her countless trip books' with drawings and ephemera. At 60, her obsessions have shifted. Brigid's insatiable desire for Key Lime Pie has caused her ongoing quest for the ideal weight to elude her. The documentary is intercut with commentary by filmmaker John Waters and Patty Hearst and intimate phone conversations between Brigid and Andy Warhol. Original score by Blondie founder Chris Stem.
