A rollicking rock mockumentary from Shane Meadows (This is England, MIFF 07; Somers Town, MIFF 08) takes us behind the Manchester live music scene, as veteran roadie Le Donk (Paddy Considine) teams up with real-life rapper Scor-zay-zee to get a gig as the warm-up act for the Arctic Monkeys.
Made as the first of Warp Films' ‘5 Day Features' - low budget productions created in under five days - Le Donk & Scor-zay-zee is for Meadows a return to his freeform roots; a film humming with the anarchic energy of improvised comedy that occasionally drags the director out from behind the lens to take part in the havoc.
