"Inherently absurd and bewilderingly surreal … this is a sweet and unforgettable piece of animation." – Criterion Cast

Ella is a beautiful woman who is blissfully married to the muscle-ridden Jake. But when Jake is presented with falsified evidence that Ella is cheating on him, he leaves her. What follows is a series of mutual retaliations with fantastical twists, as the two take surreal revenge upon one another.

Legendary cult animator Bill Plympton (Idiots and Angels, MIFF 2008; Mutant Aliens, MIFF 2001) is a perennial MIFF favourite, with his hand-drawn anarchic style instantly recognisable on the indie animation scene. The Oscar-nominated director is perhaps best known for his Plymptoons shorts; he's also animated Kanye West's Heard 'Em Say video, and has been invited to create "couch gags" for The Simpsons on three occasions.

"Strife and sexual humor reign in this energetic romp, one of Bill Plympton's best longform animated works." – Variety
