MIFF is thrilled to announce the confirmation of Tony Krawitz's Dead Europe for this year's festival. To screen on Sunday 19 August, Dead Europe is The Tall Man director's bravura adaptation of Christos Tsiolkas' award-winning novel of the same name. Featuring a cast of local talent including Ewen Leslie (Sleeping Beauty), Marton Csokas (South Solitary) and Kodi Smit-McPhee (Let Me In; ParaNorman, MIFF 12), Dead Europe offers a “dose of arthouse angst with a gothic garnish” – Variety.
