MIFF is thrilled to announce that we've added fantastic Cannes hit Laurence Anyways – the third feature from 23-year-old Québécois boy wonder Xavier Dolan – as a surprise screening on Sunday 19 August at The Forum Theatre, starting at 10.15am. Yes, 10.15am!
We've also scheduled the other surprise screenings, all on Sunday 19 August, starting with Into the Abyss in Greater Union 6 at 11am, as a replacement for the cancelled screening last Monday. Ticket sales for this screening will initially be restricted to ticket holders from the previous and cancelled screenings.
In GU 5 at 11am, we're running a second screening of the popular Croker Island Exodus, and in GU 4 at 11am will be a second screening of the equally popular Coniston. In GU 3 at 11am we will screen a repeat of Room 237.
In ACMI 2 at 11am will be a re-scheduled screening of 11:25 The Day Mishima Chose His Own Fate, and in ACMI 2 at 1.30pm an additional screening of the in-demand Something From Nothing: The Art of Rap.
And don't forget Dead Europe, our previously announced Surprise Screening, at 6.30pm in GU 6.
