MIFF is very pleased to confirm that prodigious comic talent Bobcat Goldthwait, director of God Bless America, will be headlining our comedy night in The Festival Lounge on Wednesday 15 August.
He'll be joined by a collection of Melbourne's top comics including Danny McGinlay, Alasdair Tremblay-Birchall, Matt Kenneally, Geraldine Quinn and Harley Breen, with host and MC Lee Zachariah from ABC TV's The Bazura Project. They'll all be taking turns at the mic, sharing their funniest film tales from 7pm.
Bobcat will be in The Festival Lounge earlier too, as he joins Lee Zachariah and Shannon Marinko (The Bazura Project) as they wax lyrical about the classic American comedies of the 70s (seen in this year’s 70s New Hollywood Comedy strand). Other guests for this Talking Pictures event, A Nervous Kind of Laughter, include Adam Zwar (Wilfred, Lowdown) and Judith Lucy (Judith Lucy's Spiritual Journey).
