On the weekend, Film Critics Circle of Australia member and TeleScope Juror Russell Edwards announced the TeleScope Award winner: Northwest. The jury called the film "a gritty and often strangely beautiful film about belonging and not belonging in today's multicultural cities. This is a film that embraces politics and people – however unlovable."
The jury, along with MIFF, congratulate Danish director Michael Noer, his cast and crew.
