To complement the screening program, MIFF has produced eight study guides to accompany the films programmed for school groups. The guides feature activities for students before and after the actual screening and provide film content analysis for teachers and students. Depending on the content of the film, the activities will encourage discussions around different cultures and language plus historical, social, philosophical and political issues.

These study guides are available free of charge and are written by professional writers on behalf of ATOM (Australian Teachers of Media).
