NOVEMBER-DECEMBER MEMBERS SCREENINGS
Hello MIFF Members,
Here is all the news that is fit to print about all the members screenings that are fit to watch!
This month we have for you a Chinese epic populated with Oscar winners, and a sweet rom-com particularly pertinent for film lovers: how can you find true love when no one will ever live up to the standard set by your favourite filmmaker? BACK TO 1942 and PARIS-MANHATTAN are at diverse ends of the film spectrum, and we hope you enjoy them!
You can book your ticket to these screenings from 11am Thursday 22nd November.
Many thanks to Cinema Nova, China Lion Film, Palace Cinemas and Palace Films for being our ever so lovely partners for these screenings.
Remember, should you ever have any trouble with printing your tickets after booking, we always have a doorlist at each screening that includes everyone who has successfully booked, so all you need to do in that case is bring your membership card with you, and we can tick you off.
And in general housekeeping news, please be advised that if you are renewing your membership any time between now and the end of the year, you will be receiving the old 2012 membership cards. It is unlikely that we will receive our 2013 cards before the New Year, and will be using the remaining cards we have to ensure that you have a physical card as soon as possible. These cards are still 100% valid for your newly renewed year, so don't fret, and thank you for your understanding.

BACK TO 1942From master filmmaker Feng Xiangong, Back To 1942 chronicles the human drama as a devastating famine struck Henan Province in 1942, a time when China was already at war with and partially occupied by Japan. Based on a novel by Liu Zhenyun, the movie stars Xu Fan (Aftershock) and Zhang Hanyu (Assembly) and also boasts two Academy Award winners — Tim Robbins and Adrien Brody. Some Chinese language, English subtitles.

PARIS-MANHATTANIdealistic pharmacist Alice (Alice Taglioni) is a cinephile totally obessed with the movies of Woody Allen. She continually quotes lines from his films, engages in imaginary conversations with him, and even prescribes her customers his classic works to help alleviate their ailments; it's little wonder she's still single in her thirties! Alice's increasingly concerned Jewish parents hope to cure her fixation by setting her up with a handsome French gentleman (Patrick Bruel), but even he quickly realises that he's no match for the man of her dreams... French, English subtitles.

To see one of the films on offer:

- Type in your 7 digit membership number
- Select 1 from the quantity drop down menu
- Click on 'Book Tickets'
- Click on 'Check Out'
At this point you will need to login - if you have forgotten your password you can get a new one emailed to you.
After the checkout you will be able to print your barcoded ticket.

PLEASE PRINT YOUR BARCODED TICKET and BRING YOUR MEMBERSHIP CARD AND TICKET to the session, it will be scanned on entry.
