What are three things you know about Australia?
Warmer than NZ, quite unique landscapes, Aboriginal people/culture.
65 years from now, how do you think the world will remember you?
As the guy who made Belief and also my next film, Daffodils.
If you weren't making films what would you be doing?
Probably working in another creative sector like arts or advertising. However I've been in film my whole life and don't know anything else.
What is a film that has stayed with you in a good way and a bad way?
In a good way, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang is something I saw as a kid and I think it was a cinematic experience that changed me and made me want to make films. In a bad way, I don't know. I've seen a lot of bad films but I always get something out of them. I've never walked out of a film.
