Meet MIFF Ambassador Uncle Jack Charles
Uncle Jack Charles – a member of the Stolen Generations who also lived under the White Australia Policy – has worn many hats throughout his life: actor, cat burglar, musician, heroin addict, activist, even Senior Victorian Australian of the Year. But the title he’s most proud to claim is that of Aboriginal Elder. He is the author of the memoir Jack Charles: Born-again Blackfella.
