Robin Campbell, an old man of the Murrawarri tribe of the far north west of New South Wales, lives out his days on the fringe of a white town. Although he is now an "old Fella", he still has his memories. In this film Robin recalls - through dramatic re-enactments by his young relations - how he was taught, as a child, to hunt the emu and make animal tracks; how, according to traditional songs and stories, the animals and birds came to be what they are today; and how Robin worked on the land, as a drover, in the 1930's and '40s.
