THE AUTO-TUNE EFFECT, by Emmy-winner Stanley Nelson, looks at the history of the world's favourite pitch-modulation audio software.
Nelson is perhaps best known to Melbourne audiences from his award-winning documentary Jonestown: The Life and Death of Peoples Temple (MIFF 06). He is also the co-founder and executive director of Firelight Media, which provides technical education and professional support to emerging documentarians; and co-founder of the for-profit documentary production company, Firelight Films.
Nelson's latest feature documentaries include Freedom Riders and Wounded Knee, both of which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival.
