"Few antiwar films register with the disturbing immediacy and visceral terror of Tears of Gaza." - Variety

Documenting the human impact of the 2008 - 2009 bombing of Gaza by the Israeli military, director Vibeke Løkkeberg has made use of local Palestinian crews to provide footage of a conflict largely unseen by the Western media.

Told through the stories of three children surviving in Gaza's impoverished infrastructure, Løkkeberg's film tracks the everyday existence of a people living in a city ill-prepared to cope with a tragedy of such scale.

Winner of the Audience Award at the Thessaloniki Documentary Festival and the Audience Prize for Best Film at the Göteborg International Film Festival.

Lisa Gerrard (composer) is a guest of the Festival.
