Melbourne’s Sean La’Brooy and Alex Albrecht approach the classic jazz format with an entirely modern take. Acoustic instruments are sampled, glitched and pasted, alongside audio from film scenes, into a fresh and inspiring performance for MIFF.

DJ Millú skips from jazz to new wave and post-punk, with an ear for obscure rhythms and leftfield grooves. She appears regularly on 3RRR FM.

As co-presenter on 3RRR FM’s Strange Holiday, Lewis Fidock’s musical journeys seek out proto-electronic, new-wave and oceanic sounds, from lost obscurities to new releases, in response to local music from the late 70s and 80s.
