"A little respect, please, for His Satanic Majesty, Nicolas Cage. Nobody else could have made this work, or would have wanted to." – Tribune News Service

John Milton (Nicolas Cage) is out for revenge, and even the fact that he’s dead won’t stop him. Milton escapes from Hell after stealing Satan’s personal gun – the "Godkiller" – and sets out to kill the man who lured his daughter into a cult and then murdered her. After joining forces with a waitress (Amber Heard) and a car (a 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle SS), Milton must track down the cult leader before Satan’s right-hand man The Accountant (William Fichtner) can drag his ass back to hell where it belongs.

Has there ever been a more Nicolas Cage concept than one in which he literally escapes Hell, wields a mystical gun, gets behind the wheel of a fast car, and tries to destroy a bad guy’s eternal soul? From the visionary director of Dracula 2000 and My Bloody Valentine 3D comes a classic for the ages.

Please note: this film screens as part of MIFF’s Cage-a-Thon Marathon. All tickets to the event are 18+
