I’m Glad You’re Dead Now
The winner of this year’s Short Film Palme d’Or at Cannes is a tale of two brothers returning to the island of their childhood – and to the buried secrets that await.
Making his directorial debut, Palestinian actor Tawfeek Barhom (Ghost Trail, MIFF 2024; Boy From Heaven, MIFF 2022) stars alongside his real-life brother, Ashraf (The Stranger, MIFF 2022) in this moving exploration of the troubled relationship between two siblings who return home to bury their father, confront the shadow of dementia and face the traumatic past that binds them together.
