Paris' famous Père Lachaise cemetery is the resting place of famous artists - from Marcel Proust to Jim Morrison - and is the setting for this uplifting documentary. Through the simple concept of interviewing the people visiting the graves of the Père Lachaise cemetery, Forever investigates the lives and legacy of the dead artists in an entirely new way: Through the eyes of people that have been influenced by their work. Also emerging from the cemetery visitors' stories is a fascinating cross-section of contemporary Paris, running the gamut from native Parisian to recent immigrants from Spain, Iran and Japan. Eschewing the sombre tones that the morbid setting would suggest, Forever is instead a celebration of life and a tribute to the eternal power of art as a force for inspiration and consolation.
