Steve Rocco left an indelible footprint on the skateboard industry. The co-founder behind World Industries, Rocco was one of the prime architects defining the irreverent style and fashion of skateboarding in the 90s. Rocco's World Industries brought a maverick sensibility to skateboard design, using subjects like censorship, Satanism, suicide, pornography, drug use and plagiarism in designs that were assured of offending people - and sold like hot cakes. His entrepreneurial antics would produce ripple effects on broader aspects of mainstream culture - from giving Spike Jonze (Adaptation) his first directing gig to creating Big Brother magazine, which was the genesis of Jackass. Mike Hill's doco profiles the rise and rise of Rocco through the eyes of his contemporaries, featuring interviews with skate luminaries such as Rodney Mullen, Daewon Song and Jason Lee (actor in Chasing Amy and Almost Famous).
