A tragic tale of a little girl lost.

Iska has suffered more in her 12 years than most people do their whole lives. Living at the mouth of one of the world's worst coalmines, where the air is as dirty as the water, she spends her days digging through the muck trying to salvage anything she can sell. Returning home with just a few pennies, she receives a beating from her alcoholic mother for her troubles. When she escapes, she finds hope in the company of a boy and an overcrowded orphanage, but it's not long before the world catches up with her. Featuring sisters Mária and Rozália Varga, two homeless girls adopted by the director, Iska's Journey brings their real-life experiences to the screen in a heartbreaking and tragic story of life on the streets. --- D/S Csaba Bollók P Ágnes Csere WS Magyar Filmunió L Hungarian, Romanian w/English subtitles TD 35mm/2007/93mins
