“An elegant combo of slow-burn romance and social realism… Wonderful Town reaches deeply into the hearts and minds of people struggling to rebuild themselves long after the physical shockwaves have subsided.” - Variety

A Bangkok architect travels to a coastal town in the south of Thailand to supervise the rebuilding of a hotel in the aftermath of the 2004 tsunami. Slowly, and with trepidation, he falls for the owner, amid the cheerless surroundings of a once bustling tourist area, something beautiful and delicate blooms. But in a town still smarting from the wounds of its loss, not everyone shares their joy.

Winner of the Tiger Award at this year's Rotterdam International Film Festival.
