“The director paints a contemporary yet timeless world in which the intensity of human feelings is the main distraction.” - Screen International

On assignment, professional photographer François (Louis Garrel) finds himself falling, for better or worse, for the newly married, slightly unhinged, up-and-coming actress Carole. When her husband returns, François attempts to cut things short and the fragile state of Carole's mind becomes all-too clear. A year later, settled with his new girl Eve, François finds himself haunted - literally - by the ghosts of his past.

The latest feature from iconic director Philippe Garrel (Regular Lovers, Wild Innocence, MIFF 02), Frontier of Dawn pays homage to French greats Jean Cocteau and Georges Franju as a testament to the undeniable and mysterious power of true love (whether requited or not).
