"Sometimes I think people expect me to walk in with fangs and a cape, I think they expect me to be some kind of raving lunatic." - George A. Romero

One of the most important voices of independent cinema - or any cinema for that matter - George A. Romero has been scaring audiences around the world since his 1968 debut Night of the Living Dead, bringing zombies into modern popular horror fiction and redefining low-budget cinema. Influencing scores of directors, his impressive body of work injected the horror genre with intelligence, wit and keen topical observations.

In Dead On, director Rusty Nails explores Romero's work, life and methods, drawing on interviews with filmmakers and artists including Dennis Hopper, Stephen King, John Carpenter, Dario Argento, Wim Wenders, Danny Boyle, John Waters, Quentin Tarantino, Robert Rodriguez and many others.

Rusty Nails is a guest of the festival.
