“This is a place of sin, prostitution, drug trafficking - you name it.”

Gritty and blackly comic, The Moss is the second feature from director Derek Kwok, whose award-winning debut The Pye-Dog cemented his reputation as a new force in Hong Kong cinema.

Kwok's Hong Kong overflows with brutal violence, as a valuable emerald and a dead gang member draw an underage prostitute and a corrupt cop into a deadly game.

Rival triad gangs, a crew of violent Pakistanis, a vengeful mother and a homeless hit man are all pulled into the conflict. A spiderweb of loyalties forms a deadly pattern of retribution, drawing everyone towards a bloody conclusion.
