Frustrating Fours and Fascinating Fives

A study of the behaviour of four and five-year-old children at home and at nursery school, presenting typical examples of the actions of a child at these ages. Shows the vacilation between infantile helplessness and vigorous self-assertion at four, and the development of independence and the beginnings of co-operation at five.
