Roman Cologne

Only a few ruins remain of the bustling city of Colonia Claudia Ara Agrippinensium &ndash: the original name, of which only Colonia survives in the city's name today. The excavated objects range from household utensils to jewellery and perfume flasks, revealing the tastes and pastimes of the inhabitants of the ancestral city of modern Cologne.
