By reason of their former way of life the advancement of the Aborigines is a particularly difficult task which cannot he accomplished in a short space of time. How­ever, all Australian Governments are agreed on the policy of assimilation. The film shows how this policy is being implemented and indicates some of the prob­lems that have to be overcome.
