MIAO YEAR

The film covers the life of the Blue Miao tribe of northern Thailand over one year's cycle of social, religious and economic activities. It shows their ceremonies, their food-gathering, making of costumes, their cultivation of opium and their annual festival. It ends with the removal of their village and their migration to a new forest area.
