On September 11, 1973 at about 7.30, Salvador Allende enters La Moneda, his seat of office. In the early afternoon he leaves it, wrapped in a blanket - dead. What happened in the intervening period is thoroughly covered here, with a montage of film and photo documents never before published, recordings of radio and TV transmissions of that day, interviews with coup-leaders, and the recollections of a man who was at Allende's side until the last hour: Dr. Danilo Bartulin. The widow of the President, Senora Hortensia Bussi de Allende, was also interviewed for the film.
